Christmas in Korea!
It was eerie celebrating Christmas the day before everyone did at home. To be honest this was the worst Christmas I’ve ever had. I had only been in Korea for 10 days and was really sick. I spent most of the day in bed curled in a ball feeling nauseous. I was feeling a little bit better in the afternoon so I decided to join the rest of the crew in our basement for Christmas movies and home made soup. I ended up having a good time considering but it wasn't Christmas at home :(

New Years Snowboarding Trip!!!
I got off of work early on New Year’s Eve which was perfect to accommodate the ski trip that I went on with my new friends from work. We hopped on a bus for a 3 hour drunken ride west to High 1 ski resort in Gangwon-do. After checking into our hotel (High Valley Hotel) at about 9:30pm we started our evening off playing drinking jenga. We were so enthralled in our game that we ran down to the street with only minutes to spare to count down to the New Year!!! We had a great time shooting off fireworks, yelling, singing, hugging and laughing into 2011.
One of the jenga pieces said that I had to give Jake a wedgy! This was taken seconds afterwards!
Those of us that were not too hung over went skiing and snowboarding on New Year’s Day! Apparently many Koreans had the same plans. Erin and I were only able to get in 4 runs in 4 hours because it was so busy. I should have bought the 24 hour pass for about $10 more so I could have snowboarded Sunday morning also. I enjoyed the mountain’s beauty while riding two gondola’s to the peak. It was cold but being outdoors breathing fresh air was exillerating!!
Sunday Erin, Rele’e and I did cartwheels, made snowmen, and snow angels on the bunny hill until we were kicked out!
